High-Availability clusters (HA clusters) or Failover clusters are a group of connected computer servers that are implemented for the purpose of providing availability of services during critical time. When an application in a server crashes, some other server immediately restarts that application without any administrative intervention, a process known as Failover.
Apart from all these advantages, you never know, when using Failover clustering, some error may leave your data and application inaccessible. Thus, the situations demand some good Windows Data Recovery software to resolve the issue.
The process of starting a backup application immediately is itself a complex procedures and Dependant on various systematic internal steps. As part of the process, the clustering software may configure the node before starting up the application on it. It includes importing and mounting of appropriate file systems. The network hardware is to be configured, and some supporting applications may need to be running as well. Hence, any failure in one step may cease the whole process and only through Windows data recovery, you can get your inaccessible data back.
You may witness the above said problems while using Microsoft Windows 2003 Failover Clustering and any one of the following errors may have logged into your log file:
00000930.00000af8::{2003/01/01 23:00:00.001} File Share ShareName: Share has gone offline, Error=64!
00000930.00000934::{2003/01/01 23:00:00.001} File Share ShareName: Share has gone offline, error=64!
Click on Start, Run, cmd.exe
Type “Net HelpMsg 64″
“The specified network name is no longer available.”
Description: Cluster File Share resource ‘ShareName’ has failed a status check. The error code is 32.
Click on Start, Run, cmd.exe
Type “Net HelpMsg 32″
“The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.”
Explanation:
The File Share resources remain inaccessible even if the resources can be viewed online by the Cluster Administrator.
Causes:
If ClusSvc.exe or the Cluster service can not carry out the IsAlive test against File Share resources.
OR
If Cluster service can not connect to the Server service location and thus, IsAlive test can not be completed.
OR
If the Server service fails to keep up with the demand of processing the queued tasks.
OR
Corruption to the hard drive volume or file system.
Resolution:
Run chkdsk utility to check file system consistency.
However, ckkdsk can not handle severe corruption issues and you better try Windows Recovery Software to get your inaccessible data back. The Windows Data Recovery applications use advanced methods to locate the unseen files and successfully recover them. With attractive GUI, these tools are easy to use and are efficient enough to dig into your hard drive to recover your lost files.
